Is there a bartenders school that is worth the money in the los angeles area?

I suggest taking a look at the IBA cocktails on the cocktail list. Specifically the ones labeled "unforgettables". Once you have those memorized, jump on youtube and watch some basic tutorials to get an idea for the jargon and name of things. After that, it's probably best to do what "thecachedbartender" said about just getting a job as a barback, specifically at a busy place.

Your best bet is probably to find a barbacking job somewhere you don't mind being, maybe you can get a franchise bartending job with just bartending school but that's about it
